Broiled Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients
 
2 lbs chicken drumsticks, skinned and bonned
 
¾ cup sugar
6 Tbsp salt
4 cup water
 
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper
 


Preparation steps:
  1. Prepare the brine: combine the water, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Submerge the chicken drumsticks in the brine and refrigerate for 1-4 hours.
  2. Remove the drumsticks from the brine and pat them dry with paper towels to absorb excess moisture.
  3. Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Position the baking sheet on the bottom shelf of the oven (approximately 11 inches from the broiler).
    Broil on the low setting for 14-16 minutes.
    Flip the drumsticks and broil for an additional 14-16 minutes
    .
  5. Transfer the baking sheet to the top shelf and broil on high for 1 minute, until the drumsticks are brown and crispy.
